Freeze Fracture: Artifacts, Methods and Interpretations [Raven Press:NY, 1979 (ISBN: 0890043868) Out of Print], edited by John E. Rash and C. Sue Hudson (Furman), provides an introduction to the sophisticated freeze-fracture technique used by electron microscopists to analyze membrane structure at the macromolecular level. This book certainly has a limited audience of scientists, but is noted here because it hints at Sue’s extensive background in science and of the longevity of her scientific career. |
